Lu Yunfeng’s current drama series 大江大河 (literally translates to “Big River”)
He plays Yang Su who grew up in a poor rural area and was the most valued boy in the family. We’ll be seeing a different side to Lu Yunfeng on this series: scruffy, poor and works hard just to eat 3 meals daily. It is reported that he did a lot of reaearch about life in rural areas in order to be convincing on his role. He also humbly consulted other seniors in the studio.
The show’s rating is currently at 8.8 points out of 10 and has 100 million views so far. It is first broadcasted on Dongfang Satellite TV and Beijing Satellite TV on December 10, and simultaneously broadcasted on iQiyi, Tencent Video and Youku and is now focusing on Yang Su’s character development.
